Andy Williamson is a tutor with over six years’ tutoring experience and holds master’s degrees from both Oxford and Edinburgh Universities.
Andy is the author of a textbook on exam technique (due for publication in December 2015). He specialises in the use of multimedia and visual learning aids, benefitting those who struggle with traditional classroom text-based learning. Andy has advanced experience working with students with ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia, and is currently working on a book to aid dyslexic students with essay writing.
Andy’s courses are tailored towards the needs of students who don’t benefit fully from a typical classroom environment. Lessons are interactive, notes are visual, and students are empowered. The small class size allows for greater individual attention, and students benefit from teaching that’s tailored to their unique needs. By building students’ confidence, they are challenged to push themselves; Andy’s enthusiasm and passion lead students to enjoy learning. The class addresses all parts of the SAT/ACT syllabus: from basic exam technique, to tips and tricks, to building strong critical thinking skills. The benefits of these classes are felt across all subjects. Students regularly report increased overall confidence and better performance in other school subjects after working with Andy.
